A wedding is an event centered on the unique romance of two individuals. Carefully chosen expressions, of this love, can make the wedding or the shower special.
There are many uses for wedding verses: they can be used for wedding toasts, wedding thank-you and for announcing your wedding or bridal shower. You can also print the verses and use them as a wedding verse card, as a wedding reception favor, or included it in the wording of your wedding invitation or wedding program.
Unfortunately not all of us are that articulated and sometimes we need the help of others to choose the best words that will mostly express our love.
Ways to express your love during the event
- Use a famous love verse – if it will not move your guests, it’ll surly move your bride.
- Choose a favorite popular song and simply sing it to you love.
- A line or two from...

| | | Concert review | Chicks stick to the music | | Posted Monday, November 13, 2006 3:49:46 AM by Blog57 Team | | A piped-in recording of "Hail to the Chief" marked the Dixie Chicks' entrance at the Tacoma Dome Saturday night, a nod to the country music trio's history of speaking out on U.S. foreign policy. But the Chicks focused on music, not politics, at the nearly sold-out show. The band played a tight set that ran one hour and a half, treating enthused listeners to some 18 songs culled from its most recent CD, "Taking the Long Way," as well as older favorites from "Home," "Fly" and "Wide Open Spaces." Stylishly hip in black attire, lead singer Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire (violin, mandolin) and Emily Robison (banjo, lap steel guitar) were backed by a band of seven. Key players were acoustic guitarist/songwriter Keith Sewell (who's played with James Taylor and Ricky Skaggs) and drummer Fred Eltringham (of the Wallflowers), who seemed to drive the band's high energy with his rock-like intensity and long hair flying the entire night.... | |

| | | Encore in elegance | | Posted Thursday, November 09, 2006 11:47:10 AM by Blog57 Team | | Nineteenth-century Italian composers placed songs at certain spots in the opera to give patrons a chance to get snacks like sorbet, a popular 19th-century treat. Called aria di sorbetto -- sorbet arias -- these songs were always sung by a secondary character and didn't advance the story. "Sempre grid," "Ever smiling," in Act II of "The Barber of Seville," is an example of an aria di sorbetto. Noted culinary historian/author Francine Segan is an avid entertainer and an opera music enthusiast who has combined her passions to create the "Opera Lover's Cookbook" ($35 Stewart, Tabori & Chang). It is a sensual journey of the culinary arts -- from soup to nuts -- woven into particular operatic motifs or keyed to works of renowned composers. Segan knows how to throw a dinner party to the tune of timeless opera classics.... | |

| | | On the wings of a duo | | Posted Monday, November 06, 2006 1:56:59 PM by Blog57 Team | | THE WAY ANGIE YOINGCO REmembers it, the Wing Duo started out as serious singers, but comedy was later injected into their act because of the onstage and backstage high jinks of partner Nikki Ross. We had three shows at the Clover Theater (in Sta. Cruz, Manila)1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., Angie recalls. We were called the Wing Trio at the time, Nikki recounts. Angies sister Ronnie was performing with us. Since rehearsals lasted until the wee hours, Nikki would often catch Zs between shows in the dressing room. One fine day, she overslept. It was already our turn. So my sister and I rushed onstage, Angie says. The curtain was about to be raised when Angie heard urgent footsteps from backstage. She took a deep breath as the pianist, Porfirio Joaquin, played the opening strains of Whatever Lola Wants.... | |

| | | Today's Buzz stories | | Posted Thursday, November 02, 2006 3:22:47 PM by Blog57 Team | | Alec Baldwin wants to be removed as narrator of an Arnold Schwarzenegger documentary, "Running With Arnold," saying filmmakers went too far by including images of Nazi rallies. Baldwin wrote in a posting on The Huffington Post Web site that he agreed to narrate the documentary about the actor-turned-governor's political rise based on a reading of the script. He said that when he saw the film as he recorded the tracks he was "somewhat dismayed by some of the images." "The filmmakers hammer Schwarzenegger over his private behavior and his record as governor," the 48-year-old actor wrote, noting he is not a supporter of the governor. "But Schwarzenegger deserves to be treated fairly and the film's images of Nazi rallies were over the line." The governor's office declined comment Tuesday.... | |

| | | WILLIE NELSON MEETS RYAN ADAMS | | Posted Sunday, October 29, 2006 11:31:52 AM by Blog57 Team | | On ``Songbird,'' alt-country hipster Ryan Adams supplies the songs and the band, and Willie Nelson supplies that unmistakable voice. Like most Adams projects, this one, which drops next week, has keepers and clunkers. Of the former, a lovely version of the Grateful Dead's ``Stella Blue'' is the standout, a truly inspired pairing of voice and song. On the other hand, it's time for a moratorium on covers of Leonard Cohen's ``Hallelujah,'' and the choir here doesn't help. Stick with the Jeff Buckley version. The nadir is Adams' rushed arrangement of Gram Parsons' tearjerking ``$1000 Wedding,'' rendered unlistenable by jolting electric guitar accents that step all over Nelson's phrasing. Nelson and Adams each contribute one new song to the project; Willie's ``Back to Earth'' is the better of the two.... | |

| | | Matisyahu Rocks Jorgensen | | Posted Wednesday, October 25, 2006 11:18:27 PM by Blog57 Team | | If you combined Caribbean rhythm, with dancing at a Jewish wedding, while simultaneously listening to throwback hip-hop, swirling around at Bonaroo with rabbis while citing the, Torah you might be closer to understanding the Moshav, Gym Class Heroes and Matisyahu concert last night. It's not so often when UConn rallies together with such enthusiasm, save for Spring Weekend, but it was evident the mixture of last night's concert had mass appeal. The Israeli band Moshav started the show, as a packed Jorgensen fed into the theatre. "It sort of reminds me of Paul Simon, but then some of it sounds like Rusted Root or even Beck," said Sima Grove, UConn class of '97. The highly anticipated Gym Class Heroes took the stage next. They made every one pinky promise to dance and the crowd delivered as they started with one of their hit songs, "The Queen and I." The lead singer made more faces than a deck of cards, but embodied the spirit of the band with his quirky style, stage presence and slight angst.... | |

| | | Crooner comes out swinging | | Posted Thursday, October 19, 2006 11:16:58 AM by Blog57 Team | | Where: Norman Rothstein Theatre, 950 West 41st. Ave. When: Tonight at 8 Tickets: $20 from Ticketmaster, 604-280-4444 - - - Before Michael Buble got his wedding-singer job at Brian Mulroney's daughter's nuptials, fortuitously meeting David Foster and Paul Anka and soon after, launching his big career, he was thinking of applying to BCIT, finding something else to do with his life. The music thing was going mostly nowhere. Who knows, he might have made a great gasfitter, a superb IT technician. Problem was, until luck was his lady one night, young Buble had not much else to fall back on, not atypical of most music types. Doug Laalo, on the other hand -- much more of a jazz interpreter, a Chet Baker to Buble's Sinatra -- decided to cover his financial butt early on.... | |
